Princess Leala soon came into the room with a smile. "Don't you just look like the sweetest thing?" she said, in an innocent voice. "Don't you think you are a little...I don’t know...out of place?"

Istara looked up, her glare icy and stony. She stood slowly, and Star and Shadow awoke as she moved. Star arched her back and hissed and Shadow growled, baring his teeth. Istara didn't even bother to scold them, she knew they were only picking up on her emotions. "No, considering this is my room. You however, look very out of place, seeing as I don't remember Roland saying this was also used as a guest room," she said, her voice like a knife cutting through the air.

She let her hand go to the mantle place and she smiled, touching the soft wood. "We used to sleep in this room together." Of course it was a lie, but her face showed other wise. "So many memories here." She smiled. "Isn't that birthmark on the small of his back adorable?" she said, her voice cold. But yet, there was a birthmark on the small of his back.

Her right hand clenched into a fist to control her visible shaking. Her voice was like a whip. "He never slept with you," she shouted. "How the hell did you get the guards to let you in anyways? He has had them keeping everyone out since...since," and here she faltered, then shook her head briefly. It had been two days ago but the painful memories were still fresh. Unfortunately, Star wasn't as good at controlling herself. The tiny cat launched herself at the princess, four claws fully extended with a hiss. Istara gasped, her hands flying to her mouth, hoping Star wouldn't get hurt. She started forward but knew Star would reach the princess before she could reach Star.

The princess gasped and then screamed as she took the cat and flung it at the wall. The cat growled and then went limp. The cat was small, fragile, and delicate. The mere movement of that could have killed it!

Istara twitched once twice and then moved one hand to stop Shadow from attacking before she moved forward and slammed the princess against the wall. "BITCH!" she screamed. "That damn cat couldn't have hurt you." Then she called, "Guard!" Meanwhile, Shadow was over sniffing at Star. The guard from outside the door came in and first went to move to pull Istara off the princess. But her next words stopped him. "This ...person just probably killed the prince's cat. Please escort her out and then alert the prince." Istara backed up from the princess.

The guard nodded and then escorted her out of the room. But as she exited the room she couldn't help but laugh. She was laughing, even though she was going down the hall.
After about fifteen minutes Roland came down the hall and into the room. "What is it my love? Something about a lion getting thrown out and into the wall?" He asked, his eyes wild.

Istara was on the ground, her head bent over Star who was lying in her lap limp, and tears were dripping down onto Star's pelt. Shadow was sitting, head down, in front of her. "She....killed her. That bitch....killed Star." That was all she could manage to say. The hand that wasn't gently stroking Star's damp pelt was clenching into a fist and unclenching, clenching, and unclenching.

"Oh my love..." He whispered and then walked to her and wrapped his arms around her. "It's okay. It's okay." He kissed her temple, and then, slowly, leaned down to put his ear to the small cat's chest. It had a faint heart beat. "Love, Star lives!"

She looked up, her eyes wide. "Where is your vet? Take me to them, please?" Then her eyes flashed fast. "Then I want you to get her out of here...Forever!"

He took her to the veterinarian and then nodded as she looked over the animal. "I will handle it..." He paused for a moment. "Did Star....attack Leala?" He asked slowly, looking at her with a wince.

Her gaze lashed around to bore into him. "Yes she did. Because Leala was talking about the memories of you two together in that room and it was upsetting me. The animals can't help it if my emotions effect them. Don't take it out on her. If Star is to be given some sort of punishment, take it out on me, for it is my fault."

"You know I could not take my rage out on you or your friends," he said, and then, looked over at Star and touched the small feline’s head. "I will talk with Leala and I promise, she will go." He touched the side of Istara’s face. "Really. I will not allow her to hurt you anymore." He smiled.

The vet smiled, "Your cat is fine. She just needs rest." She said and petted the cats fur, making her purr.

Istara sighed with relief and picked up Star. Then she turned a steely gaze on Roland. "I need to speak with you back at the room."
