  PG: Chapter 12

Slowly, he walked back to the with her and smiled slightly. He brushed his hair from his face with one hand, in one swift movement. "Is there something you want to...talk to me about?" he asked, tilting his head to the side.

"Sit," she said, her voice steely. Once he had sat she stood in front of him, her arms crossed. "Did you have that princess in these rooms, did you have sex with her on that bed?" she asked, her voice infuriated.

He blinked once, then twice, then finally three times. "Love..." He said slowly. "What makes you ask me a question like that?" He tilted his head to the side. "Don’t you think I would have told you if I had?" he asked, his eyes truthful.

She took a deep breath in and out to steady herself than looked down. "I didn't know what to believe. She sounded like she was being truthful when she said it. And she knew about your birthmark."

He blinked. "EVERYONE knows about my birthmark." He tried to tease her. "I go up to random people on the streets and say, ‘Oh look at my birth mark!’ I just love saying it." He smiled and shook his head. "Really, Istara, you have to have a little faith in me."

Her lips quivered. "I do trust you but I don't know why you would have had cause told me before so I had to ask." She sighed. "She told me I looked out of place here. It's true," she said quietly, to herself. Then she asked in a more normal tone of voice, "Did you speak to the council?"

He pulled her into his lap. "Yeah, yeah I did." But he didn't really want to tell her. Not yet. He wanted her to writhe for wanting to know. "Do you want me to get you some pie?" he asked with a smile, "Or maybe some fruit? Fruit is really good for you, you know."

She turned around and pushed him over onto the bed, flipping to straddle him, almost growling. "Roland, tell me NOW." She could get surprisingly strong when she wanted to.

Roland laughed. "You are a very bossy little gypsy aren't you?" he said with a smile. "I am going to be very afraid when you become queen," he said as he stroked her side.

She moaned softly as he stroked her side then grinned. "Oh I doubt it. You know how to tame this wild animal. But please, tell me what they said."

He smiled, "I just did, love," he said softly, "I just said I was going to be afraid when you become QUEEN." He then laughed softly. "You are going to have to marry me," he said with a sigh. "I know I am not the best guy around but it is alright, isn't it?"

She blinked and then tackled him, slipping her arms around him. "Oh Roland, I love you! How did you get them to do that?" She nuzzled into his shoulder. "You are the best guy around."

He laughed and then smiled, sighing happily. "Hmmm, I have my ways." He nuzzled her neck. "I love you too. I really do," he said with a smile then kissed her nose. "Now, my almost-bride, would you like to see your wedding dress?"

She sat up, still straddling him. "Oh Roland! Yes, yes I would!" She looked around excitedly. "Where is it? Is it in here?"

He laughed and then picked her up from him and put her on the side of the bed. "Breathe love," he teased softly and then got up and got a white garment from the closet. "I had it made for you days ago." He presented it with a smile. It was made from the softest fabric, and was as beautiful as she was.

She stood up slowly and ran her hands down the softest surface she had ever felt, and tears came to her eyes. "Oh Roland, it is simply beautiful. Wait, you had it made for me before you asked me?" She looked confused.

He smiled and nodded. "Yeah...well...I was hoping that you would say yes to me," he said with a sheepish shrug. Leaning over, Roland kissed her. "Do you really like it?"

She laughed and kissed him, wrapping one arm gently around him. "Yes, I love it. The only thing I love more are Star and Shadow," she teased. "It's beautiful."

He laughed and wrapped his arm around her also, kissing her forehead. "Of course," he whispered softly and then laughed. "You can’t possibly love it more the Star and Shadow," he teased. "Now, you shall not try it on until the wedding." He smiled and then hung it back up into the closet.

She groaned and sighed then turned to crawl back into the bed, tired from the activities of the day. "What if it doesn't fit? And when will you make Leala leave? She better not be at my wedding!"

He laughed and then wrapped his arms around her and smiled slightly, taking in a deep breath. "Oh, it will fit." He stroked her waist, "What do you think I do when you sleep each night?" he teased and took off his cloak, getting into bed.

She looked at him strangely. "What? Measure me?"

He nodded. "Yes." He laughed softly. "You are a very sound sleeper," he teased.

She wrapped her arms around him after removing the tattered remains of the dress she had still been wearing. She snuggled up against him. "You didn't say anything about her."

He stroked her side, looking up at the ceiling. "Do not worry love. I would not allow her to come to our wedding anyways." He wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. "I love you, Little Moon."

She nuzzled her head into his shoulders, secure in his arms and his gentle voice lulling her to sleep. The feel of her bare skin against his still-clothed body made her feel secure. She yawned sleepily and whispered, "I love you my prince."

Pulling the blanket up over them he snuggled closer towards her. This was heaven for the young prince, it truly was. Kissing her forehead once more he laid his head back on the goose-feathered stuffed pillows, and finally, fell into a light sleep, his arms around her, their hearts beating as one.
