  Two Rookies

(Plot written by me without use of pic)

We all know that vampires can't have children. Of course not, for the way they create more vampires is through administering death to a human not giving new life to a child. But occasionally throughout history vampires have had the urges to have a child. Such was the case of one particularly powerful and well-known vampire lord. His mistress was taken from him when a werewolf killed her. And one thing his mistress Tianna had always wanted was a daughter to call her own, even though she knew it was near impossible. So it was that he went out and prowled around the local orphanages, seeking for one child to catch his eye. One way this vampire lord got along so well was by avoiding stirring up the human population too much, so this is why he sought a child from the orphanages rather than a family. Plus, though those who witnessed his ruthless ways of keeping power among his own race may not have believed it, this vampire had a rather soft heart when it came to children and he wanted to give a better life to one that might not have one. So it was that he stumbled upon a six-year-old girl named Alida at one of the orphanages and this was the girl the Lord Sana chose to take under his protection. He whisked her away from her life at the orphanage to install her in a place of honor at his mansion. And so she lived there for many years to come under her 'Papa Sana' who told her of vampire lore and legend and taught her his ways...the less cruel ones that is. And then it was on her twenty-first birthday that he finally gave her the gift of eternal life, for, as all know, vampires retain for all eternity the form they had when they were granted a new life, and Sana did not want his daughter stuck in the body of a young child. And so her twenty-first birthday ceremony also became the ceremony for her rebirth as a vampire. And a beautiful one she did make. It was shortly after this time that a new slayer was admitted into the ranks of the slayers guild. Now the guild had heard of the tale of Sana's daughter Alida. Many slayers had failed to kill Sana and they had drawn up a hesitant and fragile truce with him for the past several years, ever since he had brought his daughter into his life. He had agreed to only feast on the blood of animals as long as they left him and his daughter be in peace. This was the agreement. But a new head of the guild did not care for this agreement and decided to break it in a way that would not be expected by Sana. After all, what better way to test a rookie slayer's skills than to have him kill a rookie vampire?
